How to act in an emergency situation?

Every diver hopes that there will never be a situation where the skills of this course would be needed. Nevertheless, the skills learned in the course will bring you confidence and make you a safer diver.

The course covers serious issues and teaches important skills in a fun way. It prepares you to act properly in an emergency - either small or large.

Indeed, many divers have said that the rescue diver course is one of the hardest but most fun courses they have completed.

During this course You will learn:

Self rescue skills
How to Recognise and manage other divers stress

How to control emergency situation management and emergency equipment
How to rescue panicking diver
How to rescue unconscious diver

By identifying potential problems and hazards in advance, we are often able to avoid most emergencies.

Duration and contents

2 days

Independent theory learning; review questions from learning material
Confined water practise in pool
Open water section; two or three dives, depending on how the exercises are carried out.

Schedule

Day 1

We spend the first day in the pool practicing important rescue skills.
Duration of the day about 8-17

Day 2

The second day we join the day trip boat where You will use the skills You learned at the pool in the real scuba diving environment.
Duration of the day about 7.30-18

Prerequisites

Minimum 12 year old (We don't recommend this course for under 15 years)
First Aid training done within 24 months

Open Water Diver course (completed with any organization)
If the course is taken on the basis of Open Water Diver certification, then all course training will be done by the pool.
Good health (No-answers at medical questionnaire or doctor's certificate that You are fit to dive)
