Have you ever curiously wondered what fish do at night? Now you have the chance to experience it yourself!
Some of the fish sleep at night, but life under the surface is also lively at night, as various crabs and other invertebrates come out of their hiding places to look for food. Night diving offers a completely different world, as the limited field of vision opens up the underwater world in a completely different way. You only focus on what you see in the light of the flashlight.
Kata Beach and Yanui Beach are great night diving destinations in Phuket. Both destinations have a lot to see even at night, and access to the destination is easy and safe.
You can read more detailed descriptions of diving sites in the nearby areas of Phuket here
Nightdives are made as needed though each day, as long as participants are found.
The best time of year for nightdives is usually from November to May, when the waves are not big on the west coast of Phuket.
Night diving can be scheduled in a way that suits you best. We can either do the first dive in the early evening, when it's still light, so you can get to know the dive site in the light, and do a nightdive after the sun goes down. Or we can do just one dive either starting at sunset or after sunset, which ever is best for you.
Friends or family members are welcome to come along to the beach and if they wish, they can try night snorkeling.
