Whoops, your valuable item fell off the dock or boat into the water and should be found. What now?

The search and recovery course gives you the skills to plan, prepare and carry out the search for objects under the surface and bring them to the surface safely. The skills can also be applied to situations where you make fixed anchoring of a boat or pier under the surface, for example, or participate in the construction of an artificial reef.

The Search & Recovery course you will learn:

To evaluate the factors affecting search and recovery diving.
To plan and organize search and recovery dives.
Various search techniques suitable for the situation.
Safe and suitable lifting techniques for bringing the object to the surface.

In addition to a more likely successful search and recovery, the course gives you more skills and confidence for your dives.

Duration and contents

1 Day

Theory study, SSI e-material. (materials in English, translatable to other languages)
E-material knowledge review
E-material online exam

Open water dives; total two course dives.

Schedule

Dive trip duration about 7.30 - 18.00

The course day is spent on Kata beach in a real diving environment to develop skills. There is time to do exercises on the beach without schedule pressure.

Prerequisites

Open Water Diver course (or equal completed with any organization)
Good health (No-answers at medical questionnaire or doctor's certificate that You are fit to dive)

To participate in the course, you must have diving insurance. You can also buy insurance through us.

Price

On the beach of Kata (incl. two dives)
SSI 7 500 THB

Price includes:

Transfers from your hotel to Kata beach (Kata, Karon, Patong, Rawai)
Lunch and drinking water
Diving equipments during the course
